Technical Skills

Scripting and Automation

I have done scripting and automation both for work and personal projects.
The result of my industry experience in automation was the reduction in one headcount and countless hours of grueling manual work.
Checkout some of my automation projects like the time I made a Flashcard to Mp3 converter.

Full Stack Development

At VSP, I helped maintain and create new features for some of their full stack applications.
My Senior Project was a full stack management system that I helped build from the ground up.
These pojects used Angular(HTML/CSS/Typescript) for the front end, APIs in Java, and SQL(DB2, MS SQL, PSQL, etc) for Databases.

Cloud
Computing

I am currently working through an online course in order to obtain AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
My ultimate goal is to become a Certified Cloud Developer.

About Me

I am a new grad with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Sacramento State University.

I've been coding since I was in high school, and have used many languages both professionally and in formal education!

I have a great work ethic, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. I can adapt and thrive in many different work environments, and am confident that I'll be a valuable asset to any team I'm in.

I started working full time as a developer at a Law Firm in 2021 and have grown tremendously since accepting that offer. I am now working as a software engineering intern at VSP Vision care.

Personalized Homepage

I created a personal homepage for myself to replace Google. Made with Flask, I used python to add some pretty cool features that makes it more convenient to use than Google.

Weather App

I created a weather application with a small team from my school in Java. This was my first experience working with API's and GUIs. This was made in 2018.

Quizlet to MP3 Converter

I created a website that converts quizlet sets into mp3 files in any language using Flask/Python.

I have over 2 years of professional software development experience, all of which took place in an Agile Scrum environment. Below is only work experience I have as it relates to the field of Computer Science.

GBIT

January 2016- December 2016

Worked in a SCRUM/Agile environment to complete web development and cyber security related tasks. See projects on github.

Nelson & Kennard

June 2021 - April 2022

Automate important processes to reduce head count. Generate documentation on software requirements. Work as part of a team to maintain quality and supportabillity of code. Work with a 1.5 million row MySQL database.

VSP Vision Care

April 2022 - Present

Develop and maintain the Client and Broker Portal front end and APIs. Use CI/CD pipelines to release changes to production environments. Work as a technician on the Delphix team to virtualize and manage the databases of multiple teams. Part of a team effort to develop and implement coding standards to increase product quality and supportability of code.

Granite Bay High School

Graduated from Granite Bay with a High School diploma. Where I took part in an accredited cyber security program, and did web design including the High School Website itself.
